Hi there! Thanks for stopping by to get to know me! I am a Speech Pathologist, also known as a Speech Language Therapist who is very passionate about making a difference. I completed my Speech Pathology degree with Honours in 2016 and moved across to New Zealand to begin my career. I was there for 10 years before just recently moving back to my home town of Dalveen, Queensland. Prior to opening Aspire Communication in 2022, majority of my work has been within a Special Needs School. I am a strong advocate for providing a client and family-centred service with a focus on optimising the potential of each individual. My passion is in the areas of literacy and Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
Due to having my business operating in both New Zealand and Australia, you may notice myself interchanging between both a Speech Language Therapist (as known in NZ) and a Speech Language Pathologist (as known in Aus)
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I’m a proud mum to two beautiful girls named Eliza and Ruby. I also love arts and crafts and spending time outdoors.
I have my Speech Pathology Australia membership.
For my New Zealand clients:
I have my Communication Assisted Technology Level One Accreditation (CAT L1) and CAT level 2. This allows me to be able to apply for publicly funded Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems like switches and iPads with communication applications, to name a few. Find out more about AAC here.
I have my New Zealand Speech Language Therapy Association membership.
